Overview

Our Southeast producing area is comprised of significant holdings in two major geologic trends, the Sunniland trend in southwest Florida and the Jay trend in the northwest Florida Panhandle, which has one billion barrels of OOIP. The field currently employs a miscible nitrogen and water flood to optimize production. Breitburn also produces from the Raccoon Point, West Felda and Lehigh Park fields located throughout the Cretaceous Sunniland Trend in the South Florida Basin, which was discovered in the 1940s. In total, we have interests in 94 productive wells in Florida.

Recent History in Florida

  • In November 2014, Breitburn acquired QR Energy, LP, which included oil and gas properties in Florida.
  • In May 2007, Breitburn acquired all five of our Florida fields in the Sunniland Trend of the South Florida Basin.
